I had good teeth when I was little (supposedly due to people putting floride in the drinking water where I once lived) and then during my teens I got quite a few cavities. So to combat that I have to be vigilant when it comes to flossing, brushing, rinsing, waxing my teeth; which as thus far worked.

The really annoying thing about getting cavities fixed is having those dentists who are overly friendly. They try to engage you in a conversation while sticking a needle in your gums or while the drill is stirring up tooth dust in the air. "So, what do you like to read?" ugh.
